What to Prepare Before Requesting a Cleanroom Project Quotation
Before requesting a quotation for a new cleanroom or a refurbishment, gather the information that explains how the space will be used. Preliminary drawings and site photographs provide a useful starting point, with design details developed through the project discussion.
Define the purpose and scope
Describe the process, the industry and whether the work involves a new facility, an extension or changes to an existing room. Include the process description, customer specifications and quality requirements so the supplier can understand the intended use.
Share drawings and site information
Provide available floor plans, dimensions, ceiling heights, access points and photographs. Note existing power supplies, ventilation, utilities and equipment positions where known. Identify missing information and agree which items require a site assessment.
Explain people and material movements
Outline how staff enter, change and leave, and how materials, tools, finished goods and waste move through the facility. Discuss air showers, pass boxes and other equipment in relation to these workflows and the available space.
List equipment and furniture needs
Record dimensions, quantities and positions for equipment already selected. For workbenches, wardrobes and shelving, describe their use, the items to be stored and the available space. Ask the supplier to confirm suitable material and construction options. Identify existing equipment that must remain or be moved.
Document requirements and acceptance criteria
List cleanliness, temperature, humidity and other environmental requirements, with the relevant specification or standard. Include the tests and documents expected for acceptance. ISO 14644-1 classifies air cleanliness by particle concentration.[S1] Record process and quality requirements separately to give design, purchasing and acceptance a clear basis.
Set out timing and contacts
Share the intended start-up date, site access windows and project contacts. Include a budget range to help compare proposals, identify priorities and discuss the delivery schedule.
Bring the purpose, drawings, workflow, equipment list and schedule into one document. Mark each item as confirmed or awaiting confirmation. Review the cleanroom services page, air shower page and pass box page for service and equipment details.
Discuss your project
Send available drawings, photographs and your requirements to info@hop-yuen.com, together with the project location and your contact details, to discuss the next step with Hop Yuen Industrial.
